Why a pre-clean checklist matters
Deep cleaning is most effective when your home is reasonably prepared. A few minutes of tidying up before our team arrives helps cleaners access surfaces, reduces interruptions, and can even lower the time and cost of the service. Use this checklist to get ready for your scheduled appointment with Brightnest Cleaning.
Quick pre-clean checklist
- Remove clutter: Put away papers, kids’ toys, and personal items from countertops, tables, and floors so cleaners can reach surfaces.
- Secure valuables and medications: Store jewelry, important documents, and medicines in a safe place.
- Empty trash and recycling: Take out overflowing bins. Our team will replace liners and sanitize cans, but emptying first speeds things up.
- Clear pet areas: Place pet bowls, toys, and bedding in one spot. Let us know about nervous pets or where crates are kept.
- Note problem areas: Make a short list of spots you want extra attention on — stubborn stains, moldy grout, or high shelves.
- Provide parking and access info: Share details about parking, gate codes, or elevator use to avoid delays.
Small tasks that make a big difference
- Pre-soak heavily stained dishes or leave a note if dishes need special care.
- Remove lightweight curtains or delicate décor you don’t want cleaned in place.
- Turn appliances off and clear countertops around ovens, microwaves, and hobs for safer cleaning.
Communicate your priorities
Before our arrival, email or message your top three priorities for the deep clean. That helps the Brightnest team allocate time where it matters most—whether that’s the kitchen, bathrooms, or living areas. A little preparation goes a long way toward a thorough, efficient, and stress-free service.
